Description
Kishu Nanko Ume is the best variety of Ume, and Wakayama Prefecture is the largest producer of Ume in Japan. The fully ripened and sweet-tasting plums are harvested after waiting for them to drop naturally. Ripe raw plums have a beautiful contrast between yellow and red, and have a fruity fragrance. Kishu Nanko Plum is bigger, thiner skin, thick and soft flesh, delicious than other plums. Kishu Nanko plums are used as ingredients for various products such as pickled plums, plum wine, plum juice, and plum jam.
